School Goals and Success Metrics
What we aim to achieve and how we will measure it. These goals are a working draft and will be updated as they are finalized.
Goal 1: Schoolwide “Literacy First” Program (working title)
Every student reads, writes, and communicates at grade level, starting early and supported through every transition.
Success metrics
- 100% of third graders reading at grade level by Year 3.
- 8th-grade on-ramp: less than a 15% performance drop in the first quarter of 9th grade.
Goal 2: Community Development
PFAL serves as a hub for families and neighbors in central-east Midvale.
Success metrics
- 4 community-building events per school year, plus 2 each summer.
- 4 community education events per school year, including parenting discussions, support groups, and ELL/GED classes.
- Local partnerships to provide services, such as park sponsorship (placeholder).
- Summer programs for credit enhancement, including SOEP, whenever possible.
